As many Irish workers begin the migration back to the physical workplace, a new flexible workspace hub has opened up in Dublin.
Emma Kennedy, co-founder and CEO of Dublin-based flexible work business Grafter has opened two new luxury workspaces aimed at people who want to get back to an office. She set up the business last year.
The new workspaces are located in restored Georgian buildings on Leeson Street and Ely Place in Dublin City.
According to Kennedy, “There is constantly a wide variety of end users entering the Dublin market, so competition for the best quality office spaces is intense.”
Grafter has inked a partnership with hospitality group Press Up, which allows its members to access many of its venues as part of Kennedy’s ambition to create a workplace focused on luxury.
Ben Barclay, CEO, Press Up Hospitality Group said Grafter’s clients could host presentations in the Stella cinema, hold meetings in their event spaces, use the Power Gym and get catering from the group’s restaurants.
“Through this exclusive partnership, Grafter clients will have the group’s venues at their fingertips,” Barclay said.
Kennedy said that “In addition to top quality workspaces, we wanted to provide a unique work-lifestyle offering that would give Grafter members exclusive member rates to a diverse range of meeting rooms, event spaces, gyms, restaurants, cinemas, bars, and hotels throughout Dublin and Ireland.”

The company’s Ely Place location used to be home to designer John Rocha’s design studio, while its Leeson Street building lay vacant for 40 years before its restoration.
Around €1.5m was invested in the restoration of the Leeson Street property, which has capacity for 100 workers. O’Donnell O’Neill Interior Design Studios worked with local crafts workers on the interior.

The Ely Place workspace, which opened in December 2021, features a mix of large period rooms suitable for open plan spaces, customised meeting rooms and executive offices. Many of the building’s original Georgian features have been retained.
