I’m currently looking for a Purchasing Manager who can slot into the team as a true all-rounder. My client, a market leader within ceramics/textiles, needs someone who can bring both wickets and runs to the table (and by that I mean, handle direct and indirect spend). They’ll also be required to don the captain’s armband and manage a team of 3. The Role Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement. Overseeing both direct and indirect spend. Various indirect categories: Logistics, FM, PPE, IT, Marketing. Direct spend: high value raw materials, components and goods Working closely alongside the production and product development team. Leading on bid/tender management processes. Taking a lead on developing lasting relationships with suppliers. Managing a team of 3 people. Continuously looking for new ways to source. The Ideal Candidate Has 3/4 years experience within Procurement. Overseen both direct and indirect spend. Has managed at least 1 person. CIPS , preferable but not essential. Excellent communication skills. Willing, can-do attitude. Details Salary: 45k – 50k per annum. Office hours.
