iSupply Recruitment have partnered exclusively with a rapidly growing Media business based in Hertford who are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer (1 st/2nd line) to join their growing team. What you’ll be doing: Assisting with the monitoring & upkeep of a large network of PC’s via remote access. Identification and resolution management of faults and issues, including interaction with third parties. Experience working with helpdesk ticketing systems. Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and concepts, with good practical experience. Systems monitoring and client reporting, including contribution to KPI metrics. Managing the configuration of a large variety of technology, often cutting-edge, with potentially complex interoperability. Testing and repairing faulty tech equipment. Stock and asset management duties. Remotely assisting our field engineers with the diagnosing/fixing of faults, often without visual interaction. Ability to identify patterns and solve problems in a quick and efficient manner. What we’re looking for: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on professionalism while corresponding with clients over email, phone and face to face. Technically confident and capable of maintaining a level head and calm demeanour under pressure. The ability to take complex scenarios and distil into its constituent parts, to explain in a simple, cohesive manner. Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Keenly motivated to seek and identify tasks that need to be completed, without necessarily waiting for instruction. Highly organised with strong time-management skills. Role encompasses alternating daylight shift hours between 7am and 7pm. Flexible paid overtime opportunities are also available.
