Electronic Engineer for NPI required for long term, ongoing contract work within an engineering company based in Chippenham. Rate (Days): PAYE 21 per hour Umbrella contractors also welcome 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday Paid overtime available: Above 37 hours – x1.25 Sat am – x1.5 Sat pm – x1.75 Sun – x1.75 Free parking on site or easy to access from Chippenham train station About the role Coordinate with R&D New Products Developments groups to develop strategies for new products. Provide engineering support for all activities in product development process. Monitor status of all new products and ensure effective execution of projects according to required policies, procedures and government regulations. Prepare plans for all NPI projects and coordinate with all stakeholders and ensure good quality product. Develop product test plans and perform production test according manufacturing process instructions. Administer efficient first release products for D&D for submission to regulatory. Work with design engineering and assist in transition of design prototypes into cost efficient and high volume products. Provide technical support to Materials Management team for all RFP initiatives and administer effective use of outsource products. Develop prototype design according to required techniques and manufacturing processes. The right candidate Time served apprenticeship or equivalent. Electronics based degree Hold a UK driving licence. Computer literate.
