How to watch The Traitors US in the UK and abroadon June 3, 2024 at 09:42 Tech Advisor
Though BBC’s The Traitors UK aired all the way back in January, it still remains one of the most hyped shows of this year. If you cannot get enough of this deception series, then never fear – there’s two seasons of the American version of the game show.
The US version of The Traitors takes place in the same Scottish castle and includes gruelling tasks for the Faithfuls and Traitors once again. However, there are a few key differences. Scottish actor Alan Cumming is presenting instead of Claudia Winkleman, and many of the contestants are celebrities.
If you want to watch both seasons of the The Traitors (US) in the UK and other countries, then we have all the information you need. You can also check out our analysis on why this show and The Mole are so popular.
When will The Traitors (US) season 2 release in the UK?
The BBC has confirmed that The Traitors season 2 (US) will come to the UK on 12 June 2024.
All episodes have aired in the US, so we assume that they will all drop at once for audiences to binge over on BBC iPlayer.

How to watch The Traitors (US) season 2 in the UK and abroad
All episodes of the first season of The Traitors (US) are available on BBC iPlayer as a box set. However, the second season is currently exclusive to Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service.
Premium (ad-supported) costs $5.99 per month, and Premium Plus (ad-free) costs $11.99 per month.
You can sign up for Peacock outside of America by using a VPN. A VPN can unblock streaming services by making it appear as if you’re in US, regardless of where you actually live.
There are dozens of VPN services, but for unblocking streaming services, we recommend NordVPN and Surfshark. You can find more information in our guide to the best VPNs for streaming.
Once you’ve chosen your VPN, you’ll need to bypass the payment process, which can be done with an iPhone or Android device and a PayPal account.
How to register your payment details on Peacock US
We successfully managed to create a Peacock Premium account using an Android phone and NordVPN
Here’s what you need to do once you’ve downloaded your VPN on your mobile device:
Launch your VPN on your iOS/Android device and connect to a US server
Create a new Apple ID/Google Play account in your browser that’s tied to the US
Register your new account on your iOS/Android device app store
You should now have access to the US app store – download and install the Peacock app
If you don’t have access to the US app store, sign into your VPN on your PC and send the app to your phone via the web
Tap ‘skip’ if the app store asks you to add payment information to your account
Create a new account in the Peacock app with your new email address and a password
Use PayPal as your method of payment (this can be a UK account)
Once your account is verified, you can sign in from your browser on your PC/laptop
During testing, I noticed that the Play Store did not change to the US version, even when creating a new account.
The way I got round this was by connecting to a VPN on my PC, signing into the Google Play Store US website, searching for the Peacock app and sending it to my phone (which was still connected to the VPN).
We have had reports of people not being able to install US streaming apps such as Max on iOS as the app store forces users to register their payment details within the app store, and doesn’t accept UK PayPal if you try to register with this account.
If this happens to you, we recommend purchasing US App Store credit via a digital gift card, which can be added as a US payment option. You’ll need a website that allows you to pay with UK bank details.
If you set your email address as the recipient, the code to redeem the money will be sent to your inbox. When you come to add the payment information, select ‘redeem gift card or code’, and you should be able to add the money as credit on your account.
With this, you should then be able to sign up for a Peacock account and change your payment information back to your UK PayPal via the website to avoid having to pay for a new gift card every single time.
