Black Friday: Get Nintendo Switch OLED and BOTH Pokémon Scarlet & Violet for £329on November 18, 2022 at 11:56 Tech Advisor

Though Black Friday doesn’t officially kick off until next Friday, 25 November 2022, plenty of retailers in the US and UK have kicked off the sales early – and there are some particularly tasty Switch OLED deals on offer from retailers like Very that might prove popular among Pokémon fans.

You see, as part of the Black Friday extravaganza, Very is bundling the top-end Nintendo Switch OLED along with both Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, the two latest open-world Pokémon games that came out today. If you’re yet to make the jump to the Switch, or just fancy a Switch OLED and the latest Pokémon games, Very’s bundle represents a saving of £60 compared to buying all three separately, coming in at just £329.

Why include both Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet in the same bundle? While the core game is the same, long-time Pokémon fans will know that the availability of Pokémon varies, with some Pokémon exclusive to each version of the game. With both games, you can trade Pokémon between games to ensure that you catch ‘em all without relying on friends.

Considering the latest open-world Pokémon games came out today, 18 November, it’s a spectacular deal.

But what if you’re not a fan of Pokémon? Very is also offering the Switch OLED and Nintendo Switch Sports for just £299, saving £42.99 compared to buying them separately. A reimagining of the popular Wii Sports title, Switch Sports allows you to virtually play sports including football, bowling and tennis using your Joy-Con controllers.

But what about if you’ve already got an extensive collection of Switch titles and are simply looking to upgrade to the top-end console? Asda is your best bet at the time of writing, offering the Nintendo Switch OLED for a cool £279£30 off the RRP.

When we reviewed the Nintendo Switch OLED back at launch in October 2021, we were impressed not only by the larger OLED display but other small quality-of-life tweaks like an improved kickstand and a tweaked design, remarking that the “Switch OLED is the best version of the console for those who are yet to buy one”.
